WordPress and Offline Blog Editors Issue.

HI,

My website is hosted at “FatCow” and they are provide a pretty good interface to manage websites. I also have one click installations { they called is SimpleScripts } which are quite neat.

Just a single click to install any package and a single click to un-install them.

I normally use “Windows Live Writer” to upload the posts to my blog.

After the installation of the wordpress, when i tried to upload the post , after publishing the post published as HTML.

This is the the original post which i had composed in “Windows Live Writer”

and then the post published using “Windows Live Writer” it is look like pure HTML.

I tried various fixes but no one works for me.

After tried everything , i contact “FatCow

They updated the PHP to the version “5.3” and applied this patch http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/libxml2-fix/ after that everything start working perfectly.

I hope this post will save someone else time.

Thanks

  1. Finally…. they fixed it.
But i must say, hosting providers should test\maintain the environments atleast for such major CMS.
While they boast about their one-click install features and good compatibility for major CMS systems like WordPress, Joomla, Drupal etc. they should maintain the environment to avoid such hassle.
Or atleast a FAQ about known issues and solutions\Workarounds must be provided publicly for all publishers.
Anyways i wish you all the best for your new Blog.
